A reader of La Voz de Lanzarote has once again denounced the long queues that form at the César Manrique airport to get a taxi, accompanying his complaint with images taken this Friday morning. “This is how we welcome our visitors,” he laments, warning that “it's a good thing there are fewer tourists these days, otherwise the queue would reach Matagorda.”
The situation is repeated once again, generating discomfort among both residents and those who arrive on the island for the first time. This new citizen complaint occurs at a key moment, since the Cabildo of Lanzarote has recently initiated the process to declare the airport as a sensitive area, a measure that would allow urgent solutions to be adopted in the face of the lack of taxis.
