Residents of Tiagua demand a pedestrian walkway on Avenida Guanarteme, the main road that crosses the town, in order to walk safely through the area. This has been publicly denounced by one of its residents through several videos sent to La Voz.
Currently, channeling works are being carried out on this street, but this citizen asks that the City Council take advantage of this situation to create a walkway.
As he explains, people who stroll or walk in this area encounter very narrow areas of less than 30 centimeters of shoulder through which they are forced to pass, something that endangers their lives with the concern that a car might run them over.
"A pedestrian walkway would allow us to enjoy the town safely without the fear of being run over," states this resident.
