A reader has reported the proliferation of an illegal dump on a construction site abandoned for 15 years in Playa Blanca. This dump is located behind the health center of the tourist town of Yaiza, on Azores street.
This reader has pointed out that this space has become a dumping ground with hundreds of plastic bottles and pruning waste. Furthermore, they indicated that although they have called the Local Police on two occasions, they were told that they can do nothing because it is private property.
"To a certain extent I can understand it, but the day some brainless person sets it on fire, you know the column of toxic smoke that would be released," this citizen indicates.
Thus, he has warned that there are homeless people living on this unfinished land and that a tragedy could occur
