A reader has contacted La Voz to report the water outages occurring on Campoamor street in Argana Alta, Arrecife. According to the resident, the company Canal Gestión "cuts off the water every 15 days, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM without explanation as to whether it's due to a breakdown or another reason."
"This Thursday they cut off the water around 10:00 AM, I went to bed early around 8:00 PM because there was no water and in the early morning I got up and flushed the toilet and there was already... this is something that **happens constantly** in Argana and this time it was massive throughout the neighborhood," he says. "On December 25th, Christmas Day, we were without water all day," he continues.
The neighbor criticizes Arrecife's water infrastructure , especially Argana's, "they're a mess... it's one breakdown after another... it's not fixed, it's patched up".
"Mayor Yonathan de León should stop throwing so many parties with so much stupid spending and clean up the city... not to mention the fecal discharges. This summer was horrible with problems of badly maintained drains discharging fecal matter into the sea," he states. From *La Voz*, we have contacted Canal Gestión to find out the reason for these intermittent outages in the neighborhood, but **they have not provided a response regarding it**.This Friday, Lanzarote and La Graciosa woke up to another day with **16 towns without water**.
