A driver came across an unpleasant and cruel image at the bus stop at the entrance to Güime during the early hours of Tuesday. There, a dog remained on the ground, tied to the stop with a shoelace and with a flange that squeezed his neck.
This neighbor believes that the animal was run over and, subsequently, abandoned in the area. "They put a flange on his neck and tied him up to die there," he says. The discovery occurred around 1:45 a.m. and traces of blood remained in the area.
This neighbor thought the animal was dead, but decided to get out of his vehicle to check. "I got a big scare and when I got closer I saw that he had a flange on his neck and I released it, because it was squeezing him," he explains.
Immediately afterwards, he notified the Local Police, who picked up the animal and took it to the kennel. "He had a broken leg," he says. This Tuesday morning, this neighbor has tried to find out what happened to this animal and they have explained to him that "apparently the veterinarian is on vacation."
For this reason, he assures La Voz that he will ask for a special permit to be allowed to take him to another veterinarian and pay for the treatment "out of his own pocket", before leaving him in the kennel again.
