A reader of La Voz has denounced that the action of the far-right formation Hazte Oír in Playa Bastián (Costa Teguise) against the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, "has been a horror." This citizen has assured that when she arrived at the beach on Tuesday morning, she found "half the beach occupied" with around fifty umbrellas. It should be remembered that several municipalities on the island are on pre-alert for wind.
"Given the strong wind that rose, they flew into the sea without anyone preventing it," she indicated in a letter sent to this medium. The woman has narrated that she later realized that the umbrellas were installed on the beach with a message against the president, although she has assured that "that is not the point" and that the complaint is because "the umbrellas were shooting through the sand and going into the sea."
This neighbor has indicated that the Local Police took the data of the people responsible for placing those umbrellas and has indicated that she hopes that "a fine will fall on those protesters" who "did not care if the umbrellas flew," while "they took photos for the networks and falsified the image." In this sense, she has insisted that "no one did anything with those umbrellas that fell into the sea, which were not one, nor two, but many."
"Now our people who are swimming, surfing, or taking a boat ride and our marine fauna may be injured by the killer umbrellas," she continued. "They come from outside to endanger us with their ideology and their stupidity," she added.
This reader has asked that this issue not be filed away and that those responsible for the "environmental disaster" at Playa Bastián be fined.
