A citizen has written to La Voz to complain after the "terrible experience lived in the Pueblo Marinero of Costa Teguise".
According to his account, during a family reunion dinner in a restaurant with an outdoor table, when dessert arrived they realized that they were surrounded by cockroaches that started from the wooded area and moved freely around the area.
"The restaurant was full of tourists of all kinds, who little by little realized and looked horrified around them while they dined," adds the reader. Alerted the owner of the restaurant, he told us that "no matter how much they fumigated the premises and its surroundings, they could not control what was happening in the common areas of the Pueblo Marinero." "The restaurant works very well and does everything it can, but the deterioration of that space comes from a long time ago and only gets worse"
According to the citizen, this is a very serious matter that can very traumatically harm the experience on the island of visitors who decide to go to eat or have a drink at that enclave. "The inaction of the Teguise City Council in the face of such a big problem that is in plain sight is alarming."
