A neighbor from **Jacinto Borges Díaz** street, in Arrecife, has reported the state of a **collapsed manhole** on the road. "One of the manhole covers presents a serious structural failure that cannot wait for ordinary maintenance deadlines," he highlighted in a letter addressed to *La Voz*.
This citizen has demanded that the Arrecife City Council speed up the procedures to repair this manhole. In this regard, he has denounced that the situation is one of "imminent danger" for any pedestrian who walks through the area and who may be injured. "The risk of a pedestrian suffering a fall with serious injuries is constant with every minute that passes," he has pointed out in this document.
Thus, he has highlighted that it is not only a danger to pedestrians, but also "a risk of road accident". In this way, he has pointed out that the breakage of this manhole is "of such magnitude that it can cause loss of control of a vehicle or immediate mechanical damage".
Finally, he has begged "maximum priority" to this citizen complaint to "force an immediate intervention of the municipal technical services before an avoidable accident occurs".
