Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife played its last preparation match of the preseason on Saturday afternoon and closed its participation in the Canary Islands Government Cup against Balonmano Ingenio. The Lanzarote team went to halftime with a seven-goal lead, watching as the opponent grew in the second half and jeopardized the victory of the Titerroy team. Javi Santana stopped two seven-meter shots in the final minutes, with the locals winning 32-29.
The first minutes of the match were quite even with an exchange of goals. In the final minutes of the match, the saves under the posts of Javi Santana were decisive, stopping two seven-meter shots from Gabriel Sánchez and Rodrigo Ortega. The goals of captain Acoidán Martín ended up tipping the match in favor of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife.
Victory for Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife by 32 to 29 against Balonmano Ingenio in its last preparation match of the preseason, finishing the Canary Islands Cup in second position, tied on points with Desatascos Jumbo Gáldar. The competition for CB San José Obrero will begin next Sunday, September 15, visiting the court of Calvo Xiria in the first match of the First National Men's League.
