Last weekend marked the start of the 2025 season of the Karting Championship of the Valencian Community at the MotorLand Aragón International Circuit, and among the participants, the young Lanzarote driver Víctor González from Team Maranello Spain stood out. This year, Víctor has taken his first steps in peninsular competitions, gaining experience in completely new conditions for him.

Víctor, who last season finished as runner-up in the Karting Championship of the Canary Islands in the Junior category with Escudería Lanzarote, faced an even greater challenge in Valencia. The weather conditions were not favorable: free practice took place under intense rain and sub-zero temperatures, a complicated scenario from which he knew how to make the most of it.

During the timing session, the weather gave a break, allowing Víctor to ride in dry conditions and test new tires. However, Race 1 presented difficulties that relegated him in the classification. In Race 2, with the rain back and special tires for wet conditions, the Canarian driver showed his talent with an impressive comeback that led him to fight for fourth place. Although he finally finished in eighth position, his performance demonstrated a high level of competitiveness against experienced drivers.

This weekend has been a valuable learning experience for Víctor González, who will carry the colors of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands throughout the 2025 season in the Junior category.
