CD Unión Sur Yaiza thrashed CF Panadería Pulido San Mateo (3-0) this Saturday and qualified to play the third and final promotion play-off to the Second Football Federation, by an aggregate score of 4-1 (1-1 in Gran Canaria).
The Lanzarote team was much more effective than their rival in the return leg played at the Municipal de Yaiza, which was already on track in the first half with two goals.
Diego Casoppero, culminating a counterattack in the 23rd minute, and Moha, in the 36th, resolving a one-on-one against goalkeeper Álex Guanche, put a comfortable advantage for the green and black team before the break, while Aitor, in the 57th minute, rounded off the local team's comprehensive victory in the second period with a beautifully crafted goal.
Unión Sur Yaiza, once proclaimed winner of the Canary Islands phase, in which they have surpassed Las Palmas Atlético and Panadería Pulido San Mateo, will now wait for the draw to find out their last rival, at national level, in another tie, the last one, over two legs.
