Commendable point achieved by Santa Úrsula against UD Lanzarote, after being numerically inferior since the 38th minute, due to Miguel's expulsion. In the second half, the number of players was reduced again due to a brawl in which Juanqui and Miguel Gómez headed to the locker room, leaving a match with more than half an hour ahead, nine against ten. Lanzarote failed to take advantage of this, adding another draw, the tenth in fifteen rounds, which is hindering them from getting among the top four in the standings. For their part, the Tenerife team is bordering the red zone after a bad streak in which they have accumulated seven games without achieving the three points.
The match was very contested and intense with few scoring chances, with the game in the center of the field prevailing over the areas near the goal, in addition, the constant interruptions did not allow the pace of play to generate shots on goal that would be dangerous.
The first dangerous approach came from the boots of the conejero striker Quintero, arriving on the right side of the area he took a good shot that Adrián managed to deflect to a corner kick. The goal, if it came, was going to be from a set piece and so it was.
In the 24th minute, a masterful launch by Edu Niebla ended up inside the goal, entering through the entire squad, a great goal that put Santa Úrsula ahead, eliminating some anxiety in his teammates and transferring it to his rival.
Before going through the locker room, two other new arrivals, one per team, were the only highlights. Guti with a strong shot forced Agoney to reject the sphere and shortly before the break, a throw-in on the side of the area reached Ayoze's area at the far post, with the Lanzarote midfielder failing to impact the ball.
The second half started with a move, with barely eight minutes of play there was a brawl that caused an expulsion on each side, as Juanqui and Miguel Gómez saw the way to the locker room, when the locals were already with ten since the 38th minute after Miguel had been expelled, for a double yellow card, a play that led to his coach also having to leave the bench.
From that moment on, the dominance of the ball by Adolfo Pérez's team was very clear, but at almost no time did they achieve the necessary depth to generate danger and, as in the first half, the continuous interruptions did not favor the possibility of generating play.
Carlos Alexis González's team stood with two lines of four in search of a steal of the ball or some set piece that would give them a greater advantage, something they did not achieve and only a distant shot from Alonso that went next to the post can be noted as the closest he was to hitting the goal.
Kennedy, after cutting back on the side of the area, took a good shot that the goalkeeper deflected to a corner kick, being the most notable thing up to that moment. The equalizer came in the 73rd minute. A foul by Toñito at the far post fell to Quintero, taking a strong shot high that Adrián could do nothing to avoid the goal.
In the last minutes, UD Lanzarote could have taken the three points as they had two good scoring chances. First it was Krispy who, after entering the right wing, shot low, the ball going not far from the post and later it was the scorer, Quintero, who shot in front of the goalkeeper, rejecting the sphere that could have meant breaking the tie with which the match ended.
