UD Lanzarote recovered the postponed match from matchday 14 of Group XII of the Tercera Federación on Wednesday afternoon, visiting UD San Fernando, with both teams engaging in a duel in the fight for the top of the standings. The "rojillos" were overcome by the initial push from the Gran Canarians, conceding two goals in the first 30 minutes of the match. The reaction came in the second half, but accuracy was lacking in the final third
The pace was high in the opening minutes of the match, and San Fernando opened the scoring in the 15th minute of the first half. A foul on Kilian inside the box was penalized as a penalty by the referee. Stephane took charge of executing the penalty kick, making it 1-0.
At the half-hour mark, UD San Fernando scored their second goal. A steal of the ball in midfield allowed Ismael Traoré to enter the box and he finished the play by facing Ruymán and beating him for the second time. The first half ended with a score of 2-0.
Ángel López made up to three changes after halftime, seeking a reaction from his team. UD Lanzarote had a greater presence on the field, created dangerous chances, but lacked the accuracy to finish the attacking plays they had. San Fernando defended and looked to seal the win on the counterattack
