The clash against the second yellow reserve team ended in a one-goal draw

TERCERA RFEF. UD LANZAROTE UD LAS PALMAS C (2)

A great football match was seen this Sunday at the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote, with UD Lanzarote and UD Las Palmas facing off, two teams that offered quite a show for the fans. It was the second reserve team of the rojillos who took the lead, with Lisandro equalizing just past the half-hour mark. From then on, UD Lanzarote created chances to take the three points, but they ran into an immense Edu Modehano between the posts.

The first few minutes were evenly matched, with the game unfolding on a synthetic pitch that was becoming increasingly faster due to the light rain falling on Sunday afternoon. UD Las Palmas "C" created the first chance from a set piece. Aitor Sánchez took a free kick from the right flank, and Ruymán had to intervene to clear the danger. The home team tried with a cross from Loukou on the right flank, and Adrián Machín's header went high.

UD Las Palmas "C" took the lead in the 16th minute of the first half. The second yellow reserve team mounted a quick counter-attack, the transition allowed Hiromi to receive the ball near the box, he adjusted it to his right foot and sent the ball into the back of the net with a cross-shot.

UD Lanzarote reacted timidly, although they didn't get too close to the opponent's area. Lisandro tried in the 22nd minute with a shot from the edge of the box, and goalkeeper Edu Modehano cleared the ball for a corner, not wanting trouble given how fast the grass was.

The UD Lanzarote equalizer arrived after the first half-hour of play. On a long ball from Ruymán, Lisandro got past the defenders to control the ball near the box, and executed a precise lob to beat Edu Modehano with a shot over him. A beautifully crafted goal by the red-shirted full-back.

The equalizer gave UD Lanzarote a lot of momentum, and they pushed hard in search of a second goal. Just two minutes later, a through ball was received by Nami, his shot was blocked by Edu Modehano, and Machín couldn't capitalize on the rebound. And just before halftime, a corner kick taken by Nami was headed by Adrián Machín at the near post, with the ball rolling all along the goal line. The score was tied at one goal apiece at halftime.

UD Lanzarote had great chances at the start of the second half. In the 2nd minute of the restart, a ball recovered by Raúl in midfield turned into a through ball for Moha to enter the penalty area. His first shot was repelled by the goalkeeper, and Moha shot the rebound again, with Edu Modehano responding to prevent the goal.

Just two minutes later, a cross from the right wing was headed by Pablo inside the box, with the ball going just wide. Without a doubt, the clearest chance would come in the 61st minute, when Junior found himself alone inside the box, dribbled past the goalkeeper, and as he went to shoot, he slipped due to the pitch being quite wet.It was a game of many transitions, with fast play from both teams, and the ball went from one field to the other. With nine minutes left to play, Traoré passed to Lisandro, who made a run down the left, and the full-back's shot found the glove of goalkeeper Edu, who cleared it for a corner. Shortly after, Yeray Tavío tried a shot that missed the target.UD Las Palmas "C" was better in the five minutes the referee added to the second half, and generated several set-piece opportunities, with the home defense showing confidence in clearing the danger from the UD Las Palmas reserve team.

With a one-goal draw, the match at the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote came to an end, with spectators witnessing a game with a good pace and in which the red team only lacked a second goal to take the victory. A draw that leaves UD Lanzarote in third place, two points behind Atlético Paso, and in a league that has become quite even.
