A triathlete with five world championships trains in Lanzarote: "It's almost our second home"

Javier Gómez Noya finishes his training camp on the island with the Spanish Triathlon Federation

The Spanish triathlete Javier Gómez Noya, who has been world champion on five occasions and four-time European champion, has shared on his social media that he has finished his last training camp with the Spanish Triathlon Federation in Lanzarote"We finished another training camp of the Fetri Group in what is already almost our second home," said the athlete, who although born in Basel (Switzerland), moved to Galicia when he was only a few months old.The Spanish Triathlon Federation has finished its preparation on the island. "Very satisfied and grateful for everyone's great work," the athlete continued, adding "we continue to progress and lay the groundwork for what will be a demanding year." Among his sporting achievements, Gómez Noya has also been a silver medalist at the Olympic Games, specifically at London (2012). To which is added that he has received the Princess of Asturias Award for Sports or the gold medal of the Royal Order of Sporting Merit.
