Three medals for the 'Club Kárate Poliarrecife' in the 'XXXI Pepe Pérez Trophy'

The club won two golds and one bronze last weekend, with the participation of its two competitors: Amelie Yaiza Skiba Birkelbach and Caleb Padrón Alonso

The club 'Karate Poliarrecife' took three medals in what has been the last competition of the year. The club won two golds and one bronze in the 'Regional Championship XXXI Pepe Pérez Trophy' held in Tenerife last weekend. A championship with the highest participation of the year held in the Canary Islands, which brought together more than 700 competitors from the islands.

Last Sunday, December 17, in the Sports Hall of Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife), this great championship was held, of regional scope and of all categories, in which the club participated with two competitors: Amelie Yaiza Skiba Birkelbach and Caleb Padrón Alonso, both obtaining magnificent results in each of the categories in which they participated. Caleb Padrón, obtained the gold medal when finishing champion in the category of 'Male Children's Kumite' -40 and -45 kgs.

Amelie Skiba, obtained a medal in the two modalities in which she participated. A gold medal and a bronze medal when finishing champion of her competition in the modality of 'Female Cadet Kata', and third classified in the category of 'Female Cadet Kumite' -47 and -54 kgs. The 'karate Poliarrecife' was also represented in this championship with three referees: Jeremías Lasso, Mark Zhi García and José Antonio Lasso. In this aspect, we highlight the promotion of the young referee Mark Zhi Garcia, who after participating in the regional arbitration course of the 'Canary Karate Federation', and with his performance in the 'Pepe Pérez Trophy', ascends to the category 'National B of Kumite and Kata'.
