The 'Wine Run Lanzarote 2025' opens the registration period

The celebration of this event will take place on June 15th and 15th

The Cabildo of Lanzarote hosted this Monday the first coordination meeting of the Wine Run Lanzarote 2025, the prestigious event that combines sports, gastronomy and wine in the incomparable landscape of La Geria. The event, which will be held on June 14th and 15th, officially opens its registration period, which will remain available until June 2nd on the official website.

The Wine Run Lanzarote maintains its usual modalities for the Sunday day, offering participants the option of a long race of 23 km, a short race of 12 km and a walk of 12 km, thus allowing people of different levels and preferences to enjoy this unique experience on the island. The day before, Saturday the 14th, the Lanzarote Wine Run Kids will be held in the town of Uga.

This original healthy event is organized by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, through the Department of Landscape and Food Sovereignty, the Yaiza City Council and the Regulatory Council of the DOP Vinos de Lanzarote. The Government of the Canary Islands also collaborates, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty, SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote, the Tourist Centers, and Geoparque Lanzarote and Archipiélago Chinijo.

The Minister of Food Sovereignty, Samuel Martín, highlighted "the importance of this event that returns with the main slogan of "Discover, Discover and Respect". The Wine Run is not only a sporting event, but a celebration of our landscape, our wine tradition and our commitment to sustainability and inclusion. It is a pride to see how every year people respect more this initiative that combines sport, gastronomy and solidarity", commented the Minister.

The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, stressed that "Yaiza leads the island's sports calendar and the Wine Run is a prominent stop on it, which is also part of the strategy to promote our wines and La Geria as a unique landscape in the world".
