Expectation is maximum in the world of sport ahead of the Lanzarote – Costa Teguise 2026 Triathlon World Cup that is held this Saturday, March 14. This competition will be the first of World Triathlon's international scope, and will host the main protagonists of world triathlon after the cancellation of the first event of the World Series that was going to be disputed in Abu Dhabi.
The first international event of the season can be followed live on all devices and for free with the RTVE Play application thanks to the collaboration of RTVE and Teledeporte. Starting at 4:00 p.m. with the women's elite event and from 6:00 p.m. with the men's elite competition, the public channel will broadcast everything that happens on La Cuchara beach on a day of maximum competitive level.
In addition, the international triathlon federation World Triathlon will offer the Canarian event in streaming for the entire planet through its platform TriathlonLive.TV live and also on demand.
Lanzarote, world reference of triathlon
The choice of Lanzarote responds to its climatic conditions, sports infrastructure, and organizational tradition, factors that have made it one of the main training destinations for professional triathletes from all over the world. With this World Cup, the island reinforces its international positioning and Spain consolidates its prominence in the world calendar.
The presentation of the Lanzarote – Costa Teguise World Cup will be this Friday, March 13, at 12:30 p.m. in the Plenary Hall of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, on Fred Olsen avenue s/n. Arrecife.
