The youth player from Tiñosa, Martha Padrón Olsson, has achieved victory with the Spanish U23 Women's National Team in the 4 Nations Tournament, which took place in Tarazona (Zaragoza) in recent days.
The squad from the youth academy of CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen, led by Miguel Echevarría with the help of Sergio Cordero and José Luis Santacristina, has been proclaimed
winner of the tournament after drawing this Sunday with Switzerland 25-25 in the last minute of the match, ultimately finishing ahead of the Swiss themselves, Romania, and
Slovenia.
Spain defeated Slovenia in the opening match (32-14), with the Tiñosan youth player making her offensive debut with two goals, and Romania in the second match (25-24). Martha Padrón Olsson has been the only Canarian player in this call-up for the Spanish Women's Promises National Team.
