The football coaches of the island of Lanzarote have been able to enjoy three days of presentations, learning the ins and outs of professional football and acquiring knowledge that they can apply in the daily work they do in their respective teams. The seventeenth edition of the Uco Arrocha Seminar closed on Wednesday night with a talk by referee Alejandro Hernández Hernández and the presentations have been framed within the XXI Conference of the Technical Committee of Football Coaches.
The last day of the XVII Uco Arrocha Seminar was held on Wednesday afternoon at the facilities of the Casa de la Juventud de Arrecife. Joan Vila Bosch, director of the methodology area of FC Barcelona, who explained how he works in the different categories of an elite club.
Next, international referee Alejandro Hernández spoke about the reality of refereeing in our country. An entertaining talk in which the attendees were able to learn details that are not usually known about the world of refereeing and that concluded with a video showing the life of a referee in a month of competition. A video with images of the trips, the training sessions, the meetings before the matches, the talks in the locker room or the leisure time available to the referees.
The presentations began on Monday afternoon with a talk by Lucas Alcaraz, former coach of Levante UD, who explained the work methodology he applies in the professional teams in which he has played. The talks continued on Tuesday with Juan Carlos Gómez Perlado, physical trainer for the basic categories of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, and Luis de la Fuente, national under-19 coach.
The Uco Arrocha Seminar closed with the presentation of a new edition of the "Trofeo Compañero", which on this occasion went to José Francisco Bermúdez Cabrera, coach and manager of Sporting Tías. A more than deserved award for the work he has done for so many years and that his colleagues have been able to recognize.
