The Popular Party of Tinajo has once again demanded and highlighted the need to have an ambulance in the wrestling matches so that, "in the event of any incident or injury, the fighters can be treated immediately by healthcare personnel."

In this regard, Ramon Ortiz has pointed out "the impotence and despair that occurs in the teams and the fans themselves when they see a fighter suffering in the arena waiting, in the best of cases, more than half an hour for an ambulance to arrive and be treated by a doctor and a healthcare professional."

"We wonder what has to happen to comply with the minimum that can be demanded in contact and risk sports competitions, such as Canarian wrestling, so that there is an ambulance present at the wrestling matches," denounces Ortiz, who points out that "we must not wait for a tragedy to occur to act."

The PP of Tinajo, which already denounced this situation in March of this year, reiterates the seriousness of the situation after the critical moment that was experienced this past weekend when, in the confrontation between Tinajo and Unión Norte, Santi Cazorla fell impacted in the sand during his tope with the visitor Juan A. Ramírez, having to remain lying there for more than thirty long minutes.

Ramón Ortiz acknowledges that the fact that Tinajo still does not have a 24-hour ambulance service prevents it from acting more quickly and urges the mayor of Tinajo to fulfill the repeated promises he has made in this regard. "There are no excuses for this to be the case when he himself said that the City Council paid for that service and that Tinajo was the only municipality that disbursed resources for it," recalls Ramón Ortiz.
