The second and definitive day of the XXXIII Puerto Calero Marlin Cup took place with somewhat more benevolent sea conditions than the first day, with less wave and wind intensity, a circumstance that allowed for greater activity and was reflected in the successive reports received at the tournament control.

The first team to report that they were "hooked" was Papichulo, skippered by Luis Ferrer, which provided one of the first notable moments of the day. Shortly after, Luyaira, skippered by Carmelo Pérez, managed to release earlier and reported to the competition control the marking of a blue marlin specimen, a catch that would prove decisive in placing them in second position in the final standings.

Activity continued throughout the day with new reports and markings. Among them, the one made by Milugato, skippered by Emilio Domínguez from Fuerteventura, also stood out, managing to add a new specimen to the competition's scoreboard. Although several more bites were registered during the day, none altered the final standings of the tournament.

Finally, Naomi, skippered by Juan Cabrera, was proclaimed the overall winner of the XXXIII Puerto Calero Marlin Cup, winning an edition marked by competitiveness and excitement until the last moment. As winner, the team also obtains the right to compete in the Costa Rica Offshore World Championship, one of the major prizes linked to this international sport fishing competition.

The podium of this XXXIII edition was completed by Luyaira, skippered by Carmelo Pérez, in second position, while Papichulo, skippered by Luis Ferrer, took third place.

The list of winners was completed with the recognition for the best photograph, Canarias Lures, which went to the boat Jato I, skippered by Agustín Echedey Rodríguez.

Dinner and trophy presentation at Amura

The traditional closing dinner and trophy presentation put the finishing touch to this new edition of the Puerto Calero Marlin Cup. The event took place at the Amura restaurant, where participants, teams, organization, and guests shared an evening of celebration after two days of intense competition.

The ceremony also included the presence of representatives from the main Canarian institutions, among them Astrid Pérez, president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands; Juan Monzón, Minister of Sports of the Cabildo of Lanzarote; and Ángel Lago, councilor for Sports of the Yaiza City Council, who accompanied the organization and participants during the awards ceremony.

The trophy presentation marked the end of the XXXIII Puerto Calero Marlin Cup, an event consolidated in the sports fishing calendar of the Canary Islands and which, for another edition, brought together teams and fans in Lanzarote around a competition marked by sportsmanship, excitement, and respect for the sea.
