The Marlines of Lanzarote are proclaimed champions of the 1st Spanish Sea Kayak Cup in Menorca

Marlines de Lanzarote in the I Spanish Cup of Sea Kayak and young promises in Menorca

The Marlines de Lanzarote Canoeing Club has achieved an impressive feat by conquering Menorca and crowning themselves as the champions of the 1st Spanish Sea Kayak Cup and the 1st Spanish Sea Kayak Cup for Young Promises. This team of athletes has stood out as one of the most talented and dedicated in the competition, demonstrating their skill and commitment in each event.

The Marlines were represented by 44 athletes and 2 coaches, who worked hard to prepare and face their rivals. The competition was intense, with the participation of 346 athletes from 27 different clubs, which made the victory even more significant. The Marlines have shown that teamwork, dedication and passion for sport can lead to great achievements. Their victory is a testament to the importance of discipline and perseverance to achieve goals.

The different regattas of the 1st Spanish Cup took place on Saturday and Sunday in Cala en Bosc, southwest of the island of Menorca. Unbeatable sea conditions for the development of this modality, which led the Marlines to feel very comfortable in the water. In total, the Marlines won a total of 21 medals, standing out with 2 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 11 bronze medals. This impressive performance has consolidated the team's reputation as one of the most outstanding in the country in the sport of sea kayaking.

These medals were won by the following paddlers from the Lanzarote Club: Franco Ferrari came second in Children's B Men's SS2, Himar de Ganzo second in Children's B Men's SS2, Nerea Rodríguez second in Children's B Women's SS2, Maeva Carrion second in Children's B Women's SS2, Ariadne Gimenez second in Cadet B Women's SS1, Gabriela Díaz third in Cadet B Women's SS1 and third in Cadet Women's SS2.

 Andrea Betancor third place in Cadet Women's SS2, Eloy Woelke second place in Cadet A Men's SS1 and first place in Cadet Men's SS2, Pedro Martín third place in Cadet B Men's SS1, Andor Devora first place in Cadet Men's SS2, Eduardo Fajardo third place in Junior Men's SS1 and third place in Junior Men's SS2, Eneko Labarga third place in Junior Men's SS2, Lucía León second place in Sub23 Mixed SS2, Aimar García second place in Sub23 Mixed SS2, Elba García third place in Senior Women's SS2, Nuria Carballo third place in Senior Women's SS2, Jonay Rodríguez second place in Senior Men's SS2 and Raúl Rodriguez second place in Senior Men's SS2.

All these podiums, added to the good results of the whole team, positioned the Marlines with 933 points as champions of the I Spanish Sea Kayak Cup, while in the I Spanish Young Promises Cup they were also proclaimed champions with 278 points.
