The Island Sports Service held, on Thursday afternoon, a new edition of the Christmas Gymnastics Festival at the Lanzarote Sports City. A day on which the six participating clubs performed an exhibition before a completely packed facility.
The Minister of Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Monzón, who attended accompanied by the Minister of Youth, Aroa Revelo; assured that this event "is an unmissable date on the island's sports calendar".
“The Christmas Gymnastics Festival is an event for which the clubs work practically all year round, an exciting day for both the gymnasts and the families,” asserted the councilor, who personally congratulated the six participating clubs: Club de Gimnasia Rítmica Ayatima; Club de Gimnasia Rítmica Salitre; Club de Gimnasia Artística Capellanía del Yágabo; Club de Gimnasia Artística Abora Tigotán; Club de Gimnasia Rítmica Tenesa Sol; and Club Gimnasia Artística Isla de Lanzarote.
In this edition, in addition to the day experienced last Thursday, there was the novelty that each club enjoyed a full day to hold its own festival at the facilities of the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote. "It has been a complete success, as all clubs have had the same facilities for families to enjoy the work done by all categories," clarified the counselor.
The gala was capped off by the national men's Gymnastics team, which is on the island with the women's team for a training camp, by performing an exhibition on the Sports City's floor exercise mat
"As if the excitement we experienced with the clubs, which was immense, wasn't enough, our national team delighted the public with a perfect performance," concluded the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Monzón.
