The Lanzarote Sailing Paradise, second in the Portuguese Cruising Championship

The Portuguese Cruising Championship, held on the Island of Porto Santo and Madeira, was attended by the Lanzarote Sailing Paradise, with the boat of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife showing great regularity throughout the four days of competition. The Lanzarote boat finishes the competition as runner-up in the Portuguese Cruising Championship, after the celebration of a total of seven events

With the organization of the Portuguese Sailing Federation and the Regional Sailing Association of Madeira, a new edition of the Portuguese Cruising Championship was held from July 12. The competition was attended by the Lanzarote Sailing Paradise of shipowner Ye Cabrera, and Alejandro Morales as skipper of the boat that represented the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife.

Throughout the four days of competition, a total of seven regattas were held in the windward-leeward and coastal mode. From the first day, the Lanzarote Sailing Paradise was among the first classified, being the winner of the first race. 

At the end of the third day, the Lanzarote boat was at the top of the overall standings, achieving the triumph in the coastal regatta that had a double score.

A leadership that on the last day gave way to Cash Lot, a boat that won the last two races. Finally, the Lanzarote Sailing Paradise has signed a more than meritorious second place in the Portuguese Cruising Championship. A result that confirms the good work of the Lanzarote boat, and that is preparing for new nautical challenges during the month of August.

The president of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, Julio Romero, and the Board of Directors wish to congratulate all the crew members of the Lanzarote Sailing Paradise for the result obtained in the Portuguese Cruising Championship, inscribing the name of the club in this prestigious international event.
