The big week of the Isla de los Volcanes-Ciudad de Arrecife Dirt Rally continues its course and this past Wednesday more steps were taken. In the morning, a first day of testing took place on the Famara-Teguise section, with the participation of six visiting teams, which will continue this Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with many more participants. Thus, this past Wednesday the route map was also revealed in its entirety, with the location of the sections and the publication of the official magazine and fan guide.
The paper magazine of this edition is the most complete made by the organizing committee of CD. Evesport so far. Due to its informative content and because it even has QR codes, which will take fans directly to the chosen point of all the sections, always in a public area, starts and finishes, through the indications of the google maps browser. First contact with the Lanzarote sections
In the morning tests on Wednesday there were three Rally2 cars and three Rally5 cars from the Clio Trophy Spain, all visitors to the Lanzarote rally. Of the first ones were the VW Polo of Francisco Dorado-Andrea Lamas, the Hyundai i20 N of the Russians Semenov-Ignatov and the Ford Fiesta of the leaders of the CERT-Rallycar, Gil Membrado-Jandrín López. Above all, rolling to test different types of tires in the short section of Famara.
This Thursday, a second test will be carried out again in the same place and time and in the afternoon the drivers will be able to start the reconnaissance of the timed sections. This day will also be for the delivery of documentation for the teams, at the headquarters of the Evesport organization in the Arrecife Gran Hotel-AGH
Friday will be a very intense day, with reconnaissance from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Shakedown and Puerto del Carmen Qualifying Stage, Super Special and the day ends on the starting ramp installed this year on Avenida la Mancomunidad and Fred Olsen, next to Playa del Reducto, with the choice of the starting order, interviews and presentation of the drivers.
Saturday will be the development of the rally with the development of the route map and the final trophy presentation, in the same place in the capital Arrecife, starting at 8:00 p.m. It will be the final ceremony of this 27th edition.
After the super special on Friday in Arrecife, Saturday will begin with the sections of Teguise (Orvecame) and Soo-Tinajo (Naviera Armas-Trasmediterránea) during the morning. And in the afternoon, the sections of Tinajo (Lanzarote Tourist Centers) and Yaiza-Tías (CICAR), the longest with its 20.5 km, which adds up to almost 100 km timed.
