The Isla de los Volcanes-Ciudad de Arrecife Dirt Rally returns to Lanzarote and will take place between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of December. A competition that this year presents several new features, including the possibility of international drivers participating and the free cost of transport to the island of Lanzarote for the participating teams.
The event will warm up engines with a test that will take place on December 1st on the Famara section. The following day, the vehicle checks and the opening ceremony will take place in the Islas Canarias Park in Arrecife. After that, the test will begin, which, under the S – CER regulations, will have 10 sections in total, adding up to more than 85 timed kilometers, in addition to the shakedown and the qualifying section.
After obtaining official recognition from the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation (RFEDA) and obtaining international level, international drivers who wish to do so will have the possibility of participating. On the other hand, the organization has indicated that they themselves will assume the cost of transfers to the participants until the quota is filled, therefore, they point out that it is very important to request registration as soon as possible, in this way the pertinent travel arrangements will be resolved as soon as possible.
The test data and the registration request, which will remain open until 2:00 p.m. on November 23, are published on the dedicated website of VMRM and the page of the rally itself. Said registration will be 280 euros, the organizers of the event are trying to guarantee more aid related to accommodation for the drivers, co-drivers or team members who require it.
