An intense week of gymnastics has been experienced at the facilities of the Lanzarote Sports City, on the occasion of the celebration of the twenty-seventh edition of the Lanzarote Island Gymnastics Festival "Lolina Curbelo". A festival that closed its exhibition sessions on Friday night with the "Elite Festival", in which the most advanced groups participated. The activities related to the Lanzarote Island Gymnastics Festival continue on Saturday with rhythmic and artistic gymnastics competitions.
One of the most emotional moments of the night was experienced before the start of the different exhibitions. Lolina Curbelo, promoter of gymnastics on the island of Lanzarote, received a well-deserved recognition from the Island Sports Service of the Cabildo de Lanzarote. The mentor of the Lanzarote Island Gymnastics Festival was presented with a painting with the poster announcing the twenty-seventh edition, receiving the applause of the public that gathered at the Lanzarote Sports City.
The "Elite Festival" featured on Friday night the exhibitions of the groups of the Island Sports Service, Club de Gimnasia Rítmica Tenesa Sol, Capellanía, Club de Gimnasia Tigotán, Club de Gimnasia Isla de Lanzarote, Club de Gimnasia Altau, and Club de Gimnasia Rítmica Ayatima. As in the sessions of the "Youth Festival", Diana López Gómez performed an acrobatic Pole Dance exercise.
The XXVII Lanzarote Island Gymnastics Festival "Lolina Curbelo" concludes after five intense days of exhibitions, which began on the afternoon of last Monday and have been extended until Friday night. More than a thousand gymnasts of all ages have passed through the facilities of the Lanzarote Sports City.
