This weekend the Canary Islands Alevín – Infantil Championship was held at the Insular Center for Aquatic Sports in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. A long and intense three-day championship with six sessions where the club's swimmers gave their best after a season of effort and consistency.
ESNA Lanzarote participated with a total of 13 athletes (7 alevín and 6 infantil) who achieved great results, including several individual podiums by categories:
- Aitana Camacho (2014): 1st 50 m Breaststroke; 1st 100 m Breaststroke; 1st 200 m Breaststroke; 1st 200 m Freestyle
- Valentina Fernández (2014): 2nd 800 m Freestyle
- Tania Herrera (2013): 1st 200 m Individual Medley; 3rd 100 m Freestyle; 1st 200 m Freestyle; 1st 400 m
- Freestyle; 1st 800 m Freestyle
- Naiara González (2013): 2nd 400 m Individual Medley
- Asier González (2013): 2nd 200 m Freestyle; 3rd 400 m Freestyle; 1st 800 m Freestyle; 2nd Points
- AQUA Alevín male
- Vlad Dascultu (2012): 2nd 400 m Freestyle
The team also stood out in the relays, achieving:
1st – 4x200 m Freestyle Alevín Female
2nd – 4x100 m Individual Medley Alevín Female
And in the club standings, Esna Lanzarote took 3rd place in Alevín Female.
We close the championship with 15 individual medals, 2 relay podiums, 1 individual AQUA points podium, and 1 club podium, but beyond the results obtained, from the club we want to congratulate each of our kids (Vlad, Arrieta, Sophia, Noa, Claudia, Zoe, Xoan, Asier, Tania, Naiara, Aitana, Valentina, and Lucía), the entire coaching staff, and all the parents who are part of the team.
