The Auria Badminton Club says goodbye to the season with two podiums in Tenerife

Adrián Carabali is crowned U-19 champion and Greta Duarte, along with Patricia Vargas, win silver in U-17 doubles at the TOP TTR Granadilla.

The Auria Badminton Club's competition team faced the last competition of the season this weekend, traveling to the island of Tenerife to compete in the TOP TTR Granadilla. A tournament that took place in the U-17, U-19, and absolute categories, and in which the Lanzarote club had the participation of four players. Adrián Carabali won the title of champion of the U-19 category, and the pair formed by Greta Duarte and Patricia Vargas won the silver medal in the women's doubles of the U-17 category. 

Adrián Carabali started as the number two seed of the TOP TTR Granadilla. In the group stage, the Auria Badminton Club player defeated Saúl Fuentes (26-24, 21-4) and Néstor Navarro (21-4, 21-6) with authority. In the semifinals, he got rid of Connor Miranda (21-15, 21-14). And in the grand final, he had the most complicated match, having to come back from a set down against Nil Leiva (18-21, 22-20, 22-20). 

In the women's doubles of the U-17 category, the Lanzarote natives Greta Duarte and Patricia Vargas won the silver medal in the TOP TTR Granadilla. In the fight for gold, the Auria Badminton Club players were defeated by María Pérez and Leyna Sánchez (8-21, 7-21).

Greta Duarte and Patricia Vargas also participated in the individual draw of the U-17 category, both players being eliminated in the group stage. And the participation of the Auria Badminton Club in the TOP TTR Granadilla was completed by Oliver Gausmann in the absolute category, not surpassing the group stage of the tournament. 

The Auria Badminton Club with its participation in the TOP TTR Granadilla officially closes the competition season, a campaign in which it has been able to reach the objectives set and encourages them to continue working to continue growing as a club.
