The Auria Badminton Club achieves seven medals in the TOP TTR Teguise

The Teguise Municipal Pavilion hosted on Saturday the celebration of the TOP TTR Teguise, an N7 level tournament that took place in the under-11 and under-15 categories. With the presence of players from eleven Canarian clubs, it was held with the organization of the Auria Badminton Club and the collaboration of the Teguise City Council, Lanzarote Island Council, Government of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote the Different Island, Lanzarote Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, and the Canarian Badminton Federation. The host club won seven medals, highlighting the triumph of Isaac Rincón in the under-11 male category.

Isaac Rincón stood in the grand final of the under-11 male category after winning in the group stage against Gerald Santana (16-4, 15-7) and Miguel Ortiz (15-9, 15-8). The Auria Bádminton Club player asserted his condition as the number one seed, and in the final he won against Izán Mouriño (15-10, 15-7), to take the gold medal in the TOP TTR Teguise.

The men's doubles in the under-11 category was played under a round-robin system. Isaac Rincón and Guillermo Padrón achieved victories against Juan Arranz – Luis Garzón (15-3, 15-3) and Miguel Ortiz – Bruno Pérez (15-8, 15-6), being defeated by Ángel Ancor González – Izán Mouriño (17-15, 10-15, 13-15). With two wins and one loss, Isaac Rincón and Guillermo Padrón won the silver medal. Silver and bronze for Auria Badminton Club in the women's doubles of the under-11 category.

María De Arriba formed a pair with Julieta López, a player from Club Deportivo Pajaritos Playas de Tuineje, winning the silver medal by defeating their club mates Nayara Ramos and Rocío Ramos (15-1, 15-0) and losing to Valentina Isabel Pérez – Sharlotte Sanahuja (13-15, 15-14, 11-15). The bronze medal in the U11 women's doubles went to Nayara Ramos and Rocío Ramos.

In the mixed doubles of the under-11 category, Gemma Eiriz competed in the tournament alongside Pedro Alonso, a player from Universitario, and in the fight for the gold medal they were defeated by Gerald Santana and Ahinoa García (8-15, 5-15).

Nerea Padrón competed in the under-15 women's doubles alongside Marta Siverio, a player from Badfor El Sauzal. They reached the semi-final round by winning in the group stage against Nara Morales – Mishelle Sanahuja (21-15, 21-13), Claudia Abad – Valeria Cruz (21-6, 21-5), and Esmeralda Estefanía Castillo – Chanel Conti (21-17, 21-7). In the semi-finals, they defeated Laura Gómez – Sofía Perera (16-21, 21-12, 21-12), and in the grand final, they lost to Zoe De Olano – Emma Ramos (16-21, 17-21).

The medal table of Auria Bádminton Club in the TOP TTR Teguise was completed with the bronze medal achieved by Álvaro Guadalupe and Vera García in the mixed doubles of the under-15 category. They qualified for the semifinals by defeating Marvin Plasencia – Naiara Pulido (21-9, 21-15) and Diego Lanwu Blanco – María Wenfang Blanco (21-7, 21-12) in the group stage. They could not play the semifinal match due to Vera García's injury in a singles match.

The TOP TTR Teguise had the participation of 30 players from Auria Bádminton Club, being the first participation for many of the club's members in an official competition. A tournament that closes with the conquest of seven medals; 1 gold, 4 silvers, and 2 bronzes.
