The 1st Mini-Stars basketball tournament organized by the Ariagona Club kicks off

The event will be inaugurated at 5:00 p.m., with the sponsorship of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and its Island Sports Service.

The 1st Mini-Stars basketball tournament organized by the Ariagona Basketball Club and sponsored by the Cabildo de Lanzarote kicks off this Friday. Several women's and men's minibasketball teams from all over the Canary Islands will compete in the competition at the Sports City and the Blas Cabrera Felipe pavilion until Sunday, December 4th.

The tournament will be inaugurated at 5:00 p.m., with the sponsorship of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and its Island Sports Service.

A total of 12 teams from all over the Canary Islands will compete in the event; 6 men's and 6 women's. The participating clubs are Ariagona as organizer; CB. Amuley from Fuerteventura, the Santa Lucía club from Gran Canaria, the Telde Basket Tara Basketball Club, the Las Acacias de Tacorante Sports Club from Tenerife, the Doguen Basketball Club from La Palma and the Valle Arautapala Club from Tenerife.

In total, more than 160 girls and boys will play in this competition starting this Friday afternoon, which aspires to continue on the calendar of Lanzarote basketball as an important annual event.

"Sport is a great way to transmit human values such as sportsmanship and effort to girls and boys," concludes the technical manager of the Ariagona Lanzarote women's team, Juan Carlos Arrocha.
