Tenerife made a full in the fight of San Ginés

Ismael Brito and Marcial Brito "el salao" were the historical wrestlers recognized

Tenerife swept the board in the San Ginés wrestling competition

The Terrero of the Arrecife Sports City hosted on Friday night the wrestling match for the San Ginés festivities, where the Lanzarote team faced the Tenerife team, also leaving time for a women's wrestling challenge and for the recognition of two historical wrestlers from Lanzarote, both with a past in the CL Arrecife.

Perhaps those recognitions were the best of the night, or perhaps the challenge, because the wrestling match was very slow, sometimes boring, and with many admonishments for passivity in the fight of the wrestlers of the two teams.

Ismael Brito and Marcial Brito "el salao" were the recognized ones. Both wrestlers received a souvenir from the Arrecife City Council from the hands of the sports councilor, Roy González; from the Cabildo of Lanzarote from the hands of the sports councilor, Francisco Aparicio; and from the Insular Federation of Canarian Wrestling, from the hand of its president, José Hernández. The former wrestlers also received a resounding ovation from the center of the ring from the numerous fans who gathered at the event.

The fight promised at its beginning. The island of Lanzarote quickly went up 3 to 0, but the sensations that the wrestlers were leaving were not entirely positive. In any case, it was the beginning and it remained to be seen how it would turn out.

The wrestling match continued and it seemed that it was not going to change. If the scoreboard did, with the equality of the Tenerife team that after tying at 3, 4 and 5, began to put land in between on the scoreboard. It should be noted the large number of admonishments that had been whistled, most for passivity in the fight, to the point that in the first 9 matches only the local Miguel Reyes and the visitor Hakym García managed to finish a match without admonishment, pointing out the referee, and with good reason, 21 admonishments in that time.

Then the women Daniela Cazorla and Vicky Fernández appeared and fixed it. Both went on the attack, went to look for each other and the public appreciated it. Daniela managed to give the first one to Vicky, in a challenge that was the best of 5.

The boys returned, and not even then, Álvaro Torres and Pedro Manuel Gutierrez ended in separated and things did not look better, neither for the fight, nor for the local scoreboard, which saw how the Tenerife team was widening the differences. In the meantime, Daniela Cazorla gave the second one to Vicky Fernández and it seemed that the San Ginés challenge would stay at home.

The men's competition was getting more exciting and good holds were beginning to be seen. Juan Luis Goya performed some skills that raised some cries of astonishment from the stands, as did Kiren González, who when he realized was the only local without knocking down, with the score of 7 to 11 against.

Daniela Cazorla and Vicky Fernández met again, in search of a definitive local victory and the defense of the Tenerife native. In the end, little fight in this third hold that ended with the separated once the time was over. There was still time to know the winner.

Kiren González knocked down Hakym García and put the score at 8 to 11. Vicky Fernández did the same with Daniela Cazorla 2 to 1. Kiren González beat Taylor Hernández for 9 to 11 and Vicky Fernández tied at 2 against Daniela Cazorla, there would be a tiebreaker fight. Kiren won against Samuel Rodríguez and put the 10 to 11 on the scoreboard and a bit of hope for the local team, while Vicky Fernández gave the third to Daniela Cazorla and took the women's duel. The clash between Kiren González and Elieser Gutierrez ended in separated in the two holds, both being disqualified and placing the score at 11 to 12, completing the Tenerife expedition a good result in the San Ginés Trophy. The trophy for the most spectacular wrestler was for Juan Luis Goya, while the top tumbler was for Kiren González
