Gymnast Rayderley Zapata could not repeat the bronze medal he won last March in Antalya (Turkey), after finishing sixth this Saturday in the floor final of the Apparatus World Cup event held in the Croatian town of Osijek.
Zapata, who achieved a score of 13.766 units, was just over two tenths of a point away from the bronze medal, which went to Israeli Noam Berkovich with a score of 14.000.
Further behind the Lanzarote native was the winner, also Israeli Artem Dolgopyat, the gymnast who already deprived Ray Zapata of gold in the floor final at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, who won with a score of 14,500.
The podium was completed by Briton Harry Hepworth, current European runner-up in the specialty, who took the silver medal with a score of 14,433 points.
A sixth place that the Girona native Pau Jiménez will try to improve this Sunday, who will face the vault final with the fourth best score of all participants after achieving a score of 13,916 on Friday in the qualifying round.
