FC Puerto del Carmen achieved the second victory of the campaign after receiving CF Casa Pastores on their home ground, a team recently promoted to the First National Women's League, who were not intimidated and tried to put the Lanzarote team in trouble.
The locals had possession of the ball and played in the opponent's half from the start of the match, having several approaches to the goal defended by Rosalía, but without getting the prize of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, a penalty committed by Manuela jeopardized the good start that the Lanzarote team was having. Evelyn Santana was in charge of taking the penalty, however, she would crash the ball into the post and the score remained 0-0.
That occasion woke up the players led by Jack Talbot, who soon took the lead on the scoreboard through Kiara, after receiving a pass between the lines that she defined with quality. Before half an hour, Eira made it 2-0 for the Lanzarote team, after an attack that had several interventions from the rival goal.
Before concluding the first half, Ylenia scored the third goal for her team, after receiving a pass from Janet from the right that the local player culminated, establishing a wide gap in the score.
In the second half, the Gran Canaria team tried to get into the game, taking advantage of the wind in their favor. After some arrivals from the Santa Lucía de Tirajana team, the Gran Canaria team achieved the first goal in their favor through Rita, which gave wings to the visitors.
The locals, for their part, wanted to avoid any surprises, with Janet putting the fourth goal on her team's scoreboard after taking advantage of a pass on the left and beating the visiting goalkeeper with a cross shot.
Immediately afterwards, Marta scored again for Casa Pastores, making it 4-2 with 11 minutes remaining for the conclusion of the match. The Lanzarote players took advantage of that time to play with their heads, be patient and know how to manage the score in their favor in such a way that they left no possibilities for their rival to get any points in the Municipal of Puerto del Carmen.
Next matchday, Puerto del Carmen of the First National League will visit the Parque Atlántico of the Gran Canaria capital to play against Guiniguada Apolinario, on Sunday at 12:30 p.m., while the reserve team will play the same Sunday, but half an hour earlier, at home, against Cerruda de Santa Lucía de Tirajana.
