Midfielder Miguel Gopar will not wear the UD Lanzarote jersey next season, after the termination agreement reached with the club's sports management on Tuesday afternoon. The footballer's work situation has changed in recent weeks and for the moment it is impossible for him to combine his work with the first team's training sessions, which began on Monday afternoon at the Costa Teguise golf course.
The sports management of UD Lanzarote considered that Miguel Gopar was one of the key pieces in the schemes of the rojillo team for the 2020/2021 season, and from the beginning worked to guarantee the continuity of the midfielder in the squad that will be directed by Josu Uribe. In mid-August, an agreement was reached with the player to extend his link.
In recent weeks, the player's work situation has changed and this was one of the reasons why he could not be present in the first work session of the pre-season. Currently it is impossible to combine work responsibilities with the training schedules of the first team.
UD Lanzarote would like to thank Miguel Gopar for his willingness and professionalism shown throughout last season, a campaign in which the player participated in 24 official matches, 23 of them in the starting eleven, being 1,959 minutes on the field and scoring one goal.
