Marius Sasu, from the Karate Poliarrecife Club, has obtained the bronze medal in the Canary Islands Children's Karate Championship. Specifically, the athlete reached the third position in the Kumite Children's category of more than 45 kilograms.
Thus, the club has highlighted the "good performance" of the members of Karate Poliarrecife, in the regional competition held on March 17 in Tacoronte (Tenerife).
Thus, the karateka Caleb Padrón Alonso also achieved fifth place in the Youth Kumite category between 42 and 48 kilograms.
Meanwhile, Daniel Díaz Lasso and Mohamed Kouchamy Karkoub, who competed in Children's Kumite between 30 and 35 kilos, respectively, could not pass the first round, but did a great job on the tatami.
The competitors were accompanied by the club's coach, Nicolás Lasso, who acted as coach, as well as Amelie Skiba, who on this occasion performed assistant duties.
The Arrecife Karate Club attended the regional championship with four competitors, three of whom were competing for the first time. Undoubtedly, a performance that suggests new triumphs for the karatekas of Poliarrecife in the upcoming events.
