The player from Lanzarote Raqueta Club, Manuel Cabrera Betancor, once again climbed to the top of the podium this weekend after being proclaimed Under-13 individual champion in the Castilla-La Mancha TOP TTR held in Villanueva de la Torre (Guadalajara).
Manuel completed a great performance, winning all three of his matches, achieving an important victory against the number one seed in the draw. He began the competition with a solid win against Oliver Araque by 21-14 and 21-15. He later starred in the most outstanding match of the day by defeating Álvaro Albarrán, the first seed, by a close 23-21 and 21-19, demonstrating great mental strength in the decisive moments. In the last match, he closed his participation with authority, beating Raúl Cebrián by 21-3 and 21-7, a result that secured him first place in the final standings.
With this new title, Manuel continues to consolidate his progress on the national Under-13 badminton scene, adding a new victory to a season in which he has already achieved excellent results. The Lanzarote Raqueta Club congratulates Manuel for the work done and for continuing to represent Lanzarote's sport at the highest level in national competitions.
