The eighth edition of the Halloween International Regatta kicked off the Optimist season in the Canary Islands, in an event that took place over the past weekend in the waters of the south of the island of Lanzarote. The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife was represented by 19 members of its regatta team, who played a great role throughout the three days of competition. Lola Carrión Morales took the victory in the under-13 and under-16 female category, and was also the second classified overall.A large group of sailors from the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife traveled to Playa Blanca, participating in the eighth edition of the Halloween International Regatta, organized by the 4Vientos Regatta Club. An event that brought together a total of 76 sailors over its three days of competition, and the weather conditions allowed the development of the nine scheduled regattas.One of the great winners of the weekend was Lola Carrión Morales, a Real Club Náutico de Arrecife sailor who took the victory in the under-13 female category, and who also won in the under-16 female category, despite sailing alongside older sailors. The Lanzarote native was the second classified overall in the Halloween International Regatta and first in the female category.Fayna Tavío Gutiérrez was the second-place finisher in the under-16 female category, and also finished as the third-place overall finisher. In the under-13 male category, Julián Suárez was the second-place finisher and his teammate Santiago Torres Bravo de Laguna took third place. And young Leandro de la Hoz Chávez was the second-place finisher in the under-11 male category.The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife's regatta team that participated in the VIII Halloween International Regatta was made up of Leandro de la Hoz Chávez, Miguel Lasso Gil, and Pablo Curbelo Betancort in the under-11 category. Lola Carrión Morales, Julián Suárez Sperner, Santiago Torres Bravo de Laguna Ferrer, Valentina de la Hoz Chávez, Rosalía Lasso Morales, and María Rizo García participated in the under-13 category. And in the under-16 category, Fayna Tavío Gutiérrez, Carmen Presa Heredia, Gonzalo Presa Heredia, Luisa Lemes Márquez, Alfonso Garcías Cruz, Marta Martínez Alayón, Yeico José Díaz Molina, Pelayo Sánchez Reguero, Julia López Viña, and Athenea Uxia Rodríguez Guadalupe participated.
