The Cabildo of Lanzarote, chaired by Oswaldo Betancort, congratulates the conejero athlete Lionel Morales for certifying his place in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, and the island councilor of Sports, Juan Monzón, received the paratriathlete on a visit to the Institution to personally convey their congratulations to Lionel Morales after being proclaimed world champion of Paratriathlon in Malaga.
Betancort pointed out that the success of Lionel Morales is only the tip of the iceberg, since behind this unique achievement are years of work, effort and sacrifice. "He is an example for all athletes who pursue a dream, and he has shown that with perseverance and dedication you can reach the highest," said the president.
For his part, the councilor assured that "it is not a surprise" that Lionel Morales has certified his qualification for the Olympics, given his victories in top-level competitions in recent years, and wished him, on behalf of the Cabildo and Lanzarote, all the luck in his upcoming sporting challenges. "We are sure that he will represent us in the best way before the whole planet," concluded Monzón.
