This weekend in Vecindario, Gran Canaria, the Canary Islands Cycling Championship in the XCM category was held, organized by the Canary Islands Cycling Federation and Club Sureste, where Aureliano Negrín, known as Nano, was proclaimed champion of the Canary Islands in the Master Fifty B category.

It was a very fast route in the first kilometers where the previous categories caused some blockage when the athletes entered the technical areas, but it is an equal circumstance for everyone.

"The truth is that after coming from Mallorca doing my job in a Dragon class championship, I arrived in conditions that I thought were just enough to compete, but in the end, drawing strength from the last muscle, I managed to arrive first," says Negrín.

"The route was very spectacular with all types of terrain, very similar to the eastern islands since it was in the dry area of the island of Gran Canaria," concludes the athlete.
