I Slalom Haría es deporte was held this past Saturday, May 13 in Haría, where the Canarians Juan Carlos Quintana and Rogelio Peñate (Skoda Fabia) once again lived up to expectations and took the victory among
the bodied cars, while the Lanzarote native Raúl Armas García (Speedcar Extrem) took the first place among the Car Cross.
Quintana and Peñate (Skoda Fabia), as usual, were the fastest in the three official heats, marking a final 11.50.5, which allowed them to surpass Esteban Feo Parcedo and Alejandro Falcón Caballero (Mitsubishi
Lancer Evo VIII), second, with Aníbal Hernández Acosta and Rubén Pérez Darias third with another (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX)
In Car Cross Raúl Armas (Speedcar Extrem) surpassed Miguel Armas ((Kart Cross Speedcar) by 45.4, second, with Sergio Armas (Semog KC600) third. In Quads Javier Peña Falcón (Suzuki LTRX450) surpassed Juan C. Santana Alonso (Honda TRX450ER) by 1.0, second, with Javier Rivero Sánchez (Yamaha YFZ450qr) third.
It is worth noting in Quads the local driver Ayoze González in his debut in racing, taking first place in Class 2 of 400cc (Suzuki LTZ 400). In Motorcycles Juan F. Pérez Milán (Suzuki LTRX450) won with a time of 14.14.5.
Escudería Lanzarote organized the I Slalom Haría es deporte with the support of the FALP and also the Canarian Motorcycle Federation for their incorporation into this event, which was the starting gun for the first dirt event in Lanzarote in the municipality of Haría on an uphill section with a distance of 5.5 km and a difference in altitude of 500 meters.
As a novelty in this edition of the I Slalom Haría es deporte, participation was opened to the categories of Motorcycles and Quads. Escudería Lanzarote, with the collaboration of the CACT, closed the I Slalom Haría es deporte on the beach of La Garita with the presentation of trophies and thanks to drivers and collaborators and encouraging them to continue participating in sports events.
