The Cabildo of Lanzarote informs the citizens about the road sections that will be affected by the celebration of the 34th edition of the Club La Santa Ironman Lanzarote next Saturday, May 23rd .
The island Corporation requests the population to respect the provisional signs, as well as the instructions of the State Security Forces. Likewise, it regrets any inconvenience that may be caused and thanks the collaboration of all citizens for the realization of a sporting event of great international interest.
In the municipality of Haría , the LZ-10 road will remain closed from 09:00 to 17:30. For its part, various streets in the urban center, such as El Palmeral, La Cilla, La Cruz, María Herrera, Portillo de Bonilla, Santa Bárbara, and San Francisco will be restricted to traffic between 10:00 and 15:30.
Likewise, circulation is prohibited on the sections of the LZ-201 from Máguez to Yé, and in the direction of Arrieta the LZ-202 (Hoya de la Pila - Mirador del Río) and the LZ-203 (Mirador del Río - Ye) from 10:30 to 16:00 hours, it will also affect the LZ-1 (Arrieta - Guatiza) from 10:00 to 17:00 hours.
To guarantee mobility, the link with the town of Haría will be made through San Juan street, enabled from Arrieta by the LZ-208 (Trujillo). Entry and exit maneuvers will be diverted through La Cruz street and, from Máguez, through Romero street. In this case, it will be possible to circulate through Marcial Luis street from Arrieta via the LZ-208 road, while in Guinate passage will be enabled from Máguez through Camino del Cuervo.
Yé will remain cut off from 10:30 to 16:00 hours; for any transfer needs, the event organization will take charge of it. In Órzola, Punta Mujeres and Arrieta, traffic will be maintained via the LZ-1 road (Arrecife - Órzola).
In the municipal district of Teguise, in addition to the LZ-30, which will close from 08:00 to 18:00 hours, the closure of Bentejuí, Guayadeque, and Leandro Perdomo Spínola streets between 09:00 and 13:00 hours should be highlighted. In turn, José Betancort street will be blocked from 09:00 to 17:30 hours. On the other hand, the LZ-10 (La Villa - Haría), LZ-404 (Guatiza - La Villa) and the LZ-1.a between Tahiche and Guatiza will be inaccessible between 09:00 and 17:30 hours and the LZ-1 from Arrieta to Guatiza will also close from 10:00 to 17:00 hours.
In the Villa de Teguise, citizens will be able to travel along the LZ-10 road from Tahiche. In Mozaga, traffic will advance through the El Peñón roundabout, while in El Mojón it will be from Guatiza via Avenida Alfonso Tolosa. In Los Valles, the connection will be made from La Quesera street and, in Teseguite, from El Mojón via Camino María Cruz. Finally, traffic in Famara will only be via the LZ-410 (Soo - Caleta de Famara), as the LZ-402 will remain closed.
In the municipality of Yaiza it will not be possible to circulate on the LZ-30 from 07:30 to 11:30 hours, nor on the La Geria road from 07:45 to 12:00 hours. Other affected roads include the LZ-2 in the section from Uga from 07:45 to 12:00 and in the direction of Playa Blanca from 07:45 to 13:00, the LZ-67 which connects the south with Mancha Blanca will be closed from 08:00 to 13:30 hours.
The alternatives to these routes will be carried out in Yaiza and La Degollada via the LZ-701 access from Janubio. Playa Blanca, Las Breñas, Maciot, and Femés will be accessed via the LZ-702 and LZ-2 roads. In El Golfo, the exit will be made through the LZ-701 roundabout with the LZ-2. In the case of Uga, only residents will be able to enter through the Los Camellos roundabout (LZ-2/LZ-702) via Tinasoria street.
In Tinajo, the restrictions will affect the LZ-67 and Avenida Mancha Blanca, both from 08:00 to 13:30 hours. Calle Tinguatón from 08:30 to 13:30 and the LZ-56 (Mancha Blanca - La Geria) will also be affected, the latter from 07:30 to 18:30 hours.
In the center of Mancha Blanca, the entrance will be diverted through El Tablero street towards Vega de Las Flores, with exit through Peña de Los Pastores street. In Tinguatón, traffic will circulate through Camino Esquina La Vega towards Los Dolores Church. Timanfaya National Park will remain closed from 08:00 to 13:30 hours.
San Bartolomé will be affected by the closure of the LZ-30 (Masdache - La Villa) from 08:30 to 18:30 hours. In Playa Honda, Camino de Guacimeta will close from 12:45 to 21:15 hours and its main avenue between 13:00 and 21:00 hours. To reach La Florida and El Islote, the LZ-409 (El Peñón) must be used, while the southern area of La Florida will be served by El Lagar street from Montaña Blanca.
Lastly, in the municipality of Tías, passage will be restricted on Avenida Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen from 11:00 to 01:00 hours, and in Arrecife, Avenida Secundino Delgado will remain closed from 13:30 to 20:30 hours.
