José María Reina faces a new kart season in the Rotax Series

The Valencia circuit will be in charge of kicking off a new season in the Rotax Series, a competition in which the driver from Lanzarote, José Maria Reina, will participate again in the DD2 Master category. Last season ended brilliantly for José María Reina, qualifying for the Kart World Championship and winning the bronze medal by teams. And this campaign begins with many doubts for the driver from Lanzarote, not being able to race during the pre-season with the new kart due to the late arrival of all the material that the team will use for this season.

After the celebration of the Kart World Championship in Valencia, everything was closed so that José María Reina's team could start the new campaign with Intrepid. A last-minute change means that all the members of the team sign for CRG. The new team ensures a chassis development plan in 2015 that Intrepid did not guarantee.

Everything was planned to receive the new material in the month of February, with the objective of running it during the month of March and arriving in the best conditions at the start of the season scheduled for the weekend of April 10, 11 and 12.

The four days of training scheduled for the month of March had to be canceled due to the delay in the delivery of the new material. Finally, José María Reina has only been able to run one day and that served to run the engine.

Before the start of the first round of the season, José María Reina commented that "in pre-season I have done kilometers with last year's kart" and added that "we arrive at the first race a little blindly without knowing the kart". The driver from Lanzarote assures that on the free practice day on Saturday they will work hard on the telemetry, with the aim of adapting as quickly as possible to the new kart and be able to get a good setup for the race on Sunday.

The 2015 season of the Rotax Series begins at the Valencia circuit, facility that was inaugurated last year and in which several races were held. It is a tough and technical circuit, and one that excessively punishes the kart tires. José María Reina will wear number 503 this season and starting the campaign with good feelings will be quite an achievement for the unknown that the pre-season has been for the entire team surrounding the driver from Lanzarote.

José María Reina faces the national Rotax Series 2015 thanks to the support of Motocarnet, Lanzarote, Arrecife and LanzaroteDeportiva. All the information of the driver from Lanzarote can be consulted through his facebook fan-page ( www.facebook.com/jreina24 ).
