After David Betancort resigned as head of the technical staff of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, the Board of Directors of Club Balonmano San José Obrero has finalized the arrival of a new coach who, as of Tuesday, has begun working with the Men's First National team. The Lanzarote coach Jesús Rodríguez, who holds a national qualification, will be in charge of leading the team until the end of the current season, with the immediate goal of reversing the poor run of results in recent matches.

Jesús Rodríguez Morales (12/13/1979) was trained as a player in the youth ranks of CB San José Obrero, defending the goal for the club from the Titerroy neighborhood. During his playing career, he also wore the jerseys of Universitario, San Ginés, and Zonzamas.

It will be Jesús Rodríguez's debut as a coach in a national category, although he already had experience as an assistant coach, alongside Jesús Casanova, leading the women's team of CB Puerto del Carmen. Part of his coaching career has been in the youth categories of CB Tahíche, where he currently coached the cadet and infantil women's teams, and he has also been a coach for the Canary Islands, competing in several Spanish Championships of Autonomous Selections.

Jesús Rodríguez led his first training session on Tuesday night at the helm of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, a work session that took place at the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote facilities, and began preparing for next Saturday's match against Bueu Atlético Balonmano. The coach states that he faces this new stage "with responsibility, enthusiasm, and passion," given the opportunity offered by the club.

CB San José Obrero welcomes Jesús Rodríguez to the technical structure of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, and wishes him the best of luck in this new stage, with the hope that he can achieve the objectives set by the entity for this season. At the same time, it thanks CB Tahíche for the facilities provided so that Jesús Rodríguez can take charge of his new team starting this Tuesday
