The first edition of Puerto del Carmen Music Night Run was held last Saturday, April 13, with great success in participation and public in a sporting and festive atmosphere in the area of the Plaza de las Naciones. The race registered 600 runners of different ages and 20 volunteers.
The space had six points of light and music and the performances of DJs Ángel Pérez, Alex Osorio, Elvis and Adrián, in addition to the music and dance school Báilame, the zumba of Fernando Petit and the rhythm of the trio Swing del Norte.
The winners of the race in the 7-kilometer category were David Morales (22'50''), Pablo López, Akoran Rodríguez, Roberto Rojo and Javier López. The winners in the 4-kilometer route were Hugo Pérez (13'57''), Darío Guadalupe, Gustavo Vicente, David Expósito and Asier Sosa. And the first in the 1.6 kilometer category were Hugo Pérez (06'11''), Daniel Gude, Daniel Guerra, Aduén Merino and Cristina Capitán.
The sporting event, sponsored by the City Council of Tías, stood out for the numerous participation of runners of all ages and categories, including families, and for the festive and relaxed atmosphere enjoyed by all attendees, who showed their desire to repeat and share the experience.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, appreciates the collaboration of the SPEL and private entities, while recognizing "not only the numerous participation, but also the enthusiasm and excellent behavior of the hundreds of people who gathered on Saturday in the surroundings of the Plaza de las Naciones. It has been a pleasure to share the spirit and passion for sports and fun."
