A fight in a youth match between CD Tite and San Bartolomé CF this Saturday at the Argana football field forced the game to be suspended after one of the players pushed another and some of the fans jumped onto the field to assault the San Bartolomé CF players.

According to the match report accessed by La Voz, it all began when a CD Tite player confronted another from San Bartolomé CF. Following this, another CD Tite player approached a San Bartolomé CF footballer, at which point he pushed him, provoking a fight among the players.

After the CD Tite player was sent off, he ironically addressed the referee out loud, saying "well refereed" and "when's your bill due".

As a result, fans of CD Tite, wearing team attire, jumped onto the field to assault the players of San Bartolomé CF. The official report states that they directed **racist chants** towards a player from the Batatero team, such as **"fucking nigger, I hope you die" or "I shit on your fucking mother, fucking nigger."**

For these reasons, the referee was forced to suspend the match with ten minutes to go because "his physical integrity and that of the players were in danger".

In addition, during the match, **there were a total of four ejections**, three from CD Tite and one from San Bartolomé CF, the latter for "attempting to assault a player by trying to punch him with a closed fist after confronting him." One of these ejections was due to the **kick to the shin** received by one of the San Bartolomé CF players, who had to leave the match and was taken by ambulance to the hospital

CD Tite Statement

In light of what happened, CD Tite has issued a statement on social media in which it highlights that "we are a club with history, with values, and with children and families who believe in us. That is why we deeply regret the events that led to the suspension of the match and any situation that may have tarnished the efforts of our players, coaches, and fans".

"Our Field Delegate and those in charge acted with the utmost professionalism, trying to prevent the situation from escalating and collaborating at all times with the referee and the teams. We are pained by any gesture that could associate our club with attitudes contrary to the sporting spirit we defend every day," they continued."Today is a day for reflection. It's time to remember why we train, why we compete, and what we want to convey to the young people who wear our jersey," they stated. They concluded by affirming that the team "is its values, and those values are not negotiable."
