The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife will be widely represented in the ILCA 4 Spanish Cup, a competition that takes place in the town of Pollença (Mallorca) and will feature the presence of four Lanzarote sailors. Three of the sailors are part of the Royal Canary Islands Sailing Federation team, having earned their spot through the two qualifying regattas held in Gran Canaria and Tenerife. The fourth member of the team occupies one of the open spots available to the Royal Canary Islands Sailing Federation for this competition.

The first part of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife expedition departed on Tuesday morning, consisting of the members of the Royal Canary Islands Sailing Federation team. The group is made up of Unai de Ugarte (Atlantis Academy), Mateo Roa (CACT Lanzarote), and Adriana Bravo de Laguna (Atlantis Academy), accompanied by coach Hugo Torres.

Fayna Tavío will join the group on Thursday afternoon as the fourth sailor from the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife in the ILCA 4 Spanish Cup, and it will be the young sailor's first participation in a national competition of the ILCA 4 class. Fayna Tavío won the under-16 female category in the second qualifying event held on the island of Tenerife.

The ILCA 4 Spanish Cup will feature the participation of over 130 sailors, and forecasts indicate that the nine scheduled races will take place with northeasterly winds ranging from 14 to 18 knots and short waves, conditions typical of the Mediterranean. Thursday is dedicated to equipment checks and participant registration, with the scheduled races beginning on Friday.

The president of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, Julio Romero, and the Board of Directors, extend their full support to the four sailors from the club participating in the ILCA 4 Spanish Cup, making it the Canary Islands club with the largest number of participants in the competition. This is another national experience where they will undoubtedly be fighting for the top positions in the standings.
