The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife regatta team has a new competition this coming weekend, with the celebration of the ILCA 4 Spanish Cup in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Four sailors and a coach are traveling to Tenerife, who will represent the club in one of the first national competitions of the year.
The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife expedition will be integrated in the under 18 category by Guillermo Bravo de Laguna Ferrer, Ulises Montesdeoca Molina and Atteneri García Cobo, and in the under 16 category the young Adriana Bravo de Laguna Ferrer will participate. The four sailors will be accompanied during the weekend by coach Salvador Postigo.
The four sailors already participated in mid-January in the ILCA 4 Canary Islands Cup, held in the same regatta field, highlighting the results of the brothers Guillermo and Adriana Bravo de Laguna Ferrer, who were proclaimed runners-up of the Canary Islands in their respective categories.
In addition, last weekend the sailors of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife traveled to Tenerife to attend a clinic with the members of the Canary Islands team. For three days they were able to sail in the regatta field where the ILCA 4 Spanish Cup is held, as well as work on other tactical situations such as approaches to buoys, buoy passes and starts.
The ILCA 4 Spanish Cup regattas will begin on Friday morning, with three races scheduled per day until next Sunday. The Spanish Cup is one of the two qualifying events for the formation of the team that will represent Spain in the European Championship and the World Championship of the ILCA 4 class.
