Less than 24 hours for the celebration of a new edition of the Arrecife - Agadir International Regatta, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife in collaboration with the Yatch Club de Agadir, Calero Marinas and Marina Agadir. An event that takes place in the waters of the Atlantic, with the participating boats having to complete the distance of approximately 220 nautical miles, and reach La Ville de Agadir, in Morocco.
On Monday, all the details are being finalized at the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife facilities, carrying out security inspections and confirmation of registrations. From 8:00 p.m., the skippers' meeting is scheduled and then, the sailors are invited to a farewell cocktail.
The warning signal for the start of the IX Arrecife - Agadir International Regatta will be given at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, starting the navigation of the participating boats from that moment. Until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, the boats have to reach the finish line located in La Ville de Agadir, where the participants will be received by the Yatch Club de Agadir.
Eleven boats have registered to participate in the IX Arrecife - Agadir International Regatta. The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife will be represented by the navigation of Muyay, Altamar 1, Sorcery and Manitu. The Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria will have the participation of Felipeva VI and Yasta, and the Club Deportivo Código Cero with Martinilla. Camino, Bicho Ruin and Papoa, complete the participation in the general class, and in the Promo class there will be the presence of Min 49.
The IX Arrecife - Agadir International Regatta is organized by the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife in collaboration with the Yatch Club de Agadir, Calero Marinas and Marina Agadir, by delegation of the Real Federación Española de Vela, the Real Federación Canaria de Vela and the Federation Royale Marocaine de Voile, la Ville de Agadir, the Consell Régional de Agadir, the Région de Souss Massa, the Gobierno de Maroc and the Agence Nationale des Ports. In addition, it has the collaboration of the Cabildo de Lanzarote through the Insular Sports Service, the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote, and Naviera Armas – Transmediterránea.
